Biography

Nate is a distinguished leader and dynamic professional with a strong background in entrepreneurship, educational leadership, communication, and business management. He is making significant strides as the Grants Manager at the Winthrop Rockefeller Foundation, based in Arkansas. This new role marks a significant milestone in his career, deepening his commitment to creating equitable and thriving communities in Arkansas.

Previously, Nate served as the Deputy Director of Impact and Design at the Clinton Foundation based in New York. His role involved managing key initiatives, supervising strategic planning through data management, and bolstering mentorship opportunities.

Nate's educational background is rooted in a Bachelor of Arts degree in Anthropology and Sociology, which he obtained from Hendrix College in 2010. He later pursued and completed a Master of Arts degree in Museum Studies & Nonprofit Management from Johns Hopkins University in 2018.

Before his role in New York, Nate gained valuable experience in various roles within the Clinton Foundation in Little Rock, Arkansas. His tenure as Educational Programs Senior Manager stands out, during which he acquired notable sponsorships, fostered relationships with stakeholders, represented the Foundation at national conferences, and implemented data-driven strategies for community outreach. His leadership significantly contributed to the organization's growth and reach.

Nate's commitment to his community is demonstrated through several voluntary and appointed positions, including being a Fellowship Selection Committee Member at the Watson Foundation, Chair of the Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Committee at the Clinton Foundation, and Arts & Culture Commissioner for the City of Little Rock. His contributions were recognized when he was named the 2021 Host Co-Chair & Fellow by the American Association of State and Local History, and he is also a fellow of the American Alliance of Museums.

His interests encompass various fields, including museums, technology, education, photography, automobiles, design, and music, indicating his holistic approach to his professional and personal life.

Aside from his professional and academic accomplishments, Nate is also a proud alumnus of Leadership Arkansas Class X and a recipient of the prestigious Thomas J. Watson and Shafik Gabr Fellowships. Known for his powerful public speaking and influential leadership, he is a respected figure in education, nonprofits, and social impact.
